EL Education Launches K–5 Language Arts Curriculum 2025 Edition in Partnership with Open Up Resources

EL Education, a national nonprofit K–12 educational publisher and professional learning provider, has announced the launch of their K–5 Language Arts Curriculum 2025 Edition in partnership with Open Up Resources. The 2025 Edition builds on the success of the 2017 Edition curriculum with improvements based on teacher feedback and the latest Science of Reading and Science of Learning and Development research. The K–5 ELA 2025 Edition is now available through Open Up Resources for the 2025–2026 school year.

EL Education K–5 ELA 2025 Edition is designed to better meet the needs of educators and students.
Key enhancements include:

  • Six modules per grade to create a four-module instructional year
  • Simplified lesson design
  • Enhanced assessments and data tracking
  • More diverse and authentic representation across characters, authors, and illustrators
  • Strengthened support for diverse and multilingual learners
  • New Unlock ELD, a companion program for designated English Language Development (scheduled for release Summer 2026)

Through the partnership with Open Up Resources, the K–5 Language Arts Curriculum 2025 Edition will be available beginning Summer 2025 to schools and educators nationwide, ensuring wide accessibility and support for effective literacy instruction.
