Designed to help students crack the alphabetic code and achieve grade-level reading proficiency, the 2024 Skills Block is deeply rooted in the Science of Reading and is now available through our partner Open Up Resources for the 2024 / 25 school year.
The 2024 Skills Block curriculum is based on Dr. Linnea Ehri’s Phase Theory and is further refined into microphases, which sequentially teach letter-sound connections and spelling-sound patterns in a clear scope and sequence. This updated curriculum is meticulously aligned with the latest research.
Skills Block includes all materials and lesson guidance needed for successful implementation. This robust package significantly reduces teacher prep time while ensuring instructional integrity. Key features include:
