LaTrayl Adams is the Director of Social Emotional Learning and Restorative Practices at Winston Salem-Forsyth County Schools, with previous experience as an SEL Specialist in Guilford County Schools. Partnering with the Collaborative for Academic and Social Emotional Learning (CASEL), Adams has led the implementation of social and emotional learning across districts and was named a CASEL Fellow in 2022-2023 to enhance her practice on multiple levels. Recently, she has advocated for SEL on Capitol Hill with CASEL.

Adams holds bachelor’s degrees in Organizational Communications and Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, a master’s in Agency/Human Resources Counseling from The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at High Point University.

With 20 years in education, Adams’ commitment extends beyond professional boundaries; she actively contributes to her community as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Calvary Christian Center. Her dedication to fostering inclusive environments and supporting SEL and restorative practices makes her a passionate advocate for students, families, and educators. Adams is also a proud mother to two daughters, Jayden and Jordyn, who inspire her daily.
