As Executive Director of National Partnerships (EDNP) Erika Watson works to ensure that our Partner Programs have robust support and the resources necessary to be successful. She also provides vision and strategic leadership to reimagine what partnership with iMentor can be and to ensure the growth of our partner community. Ultimately her goal is to build a national network of organizations working together to improve postsecondary success outcomes for diverse, primarily first generation, students across the country.
Erika comes to iMentor from Leadership for Educational Equity (LEE) where she was the Senior Managing Director of Regional Impact. In this capacity, she served as a member of the Regional Impact Leadership Team and the New Ventures Investment Committee. Prior to joining LEE, Erika was one of the Founding Managing Partners of Education Consultants. She successfully built relationships with charter management organizations and school district leaders, becoming a trusted advisor to superintendents, school founders, and education sector executive directors. She also served as the first Vice President and General Manager of Revolution Foods, launching the organization’s Mid-Atlantic market. In this capacity, she secured enduring partnerships with more than 60 charter and district schools ranging from the District of Columbia to New Jersey.
Before transitioning to the education equity sector, Erika spent the first 15-years of her career as a management consultant with Mercer and the Corporate Executive Board (CEB Inc). Erika holds an MBA from George Washington University and a BS from Howard University. Erika lives in Cincinnati, OH and is the proud mom of a busy toddler, Zander.
